Janel Abrahami
Janel Abrahami is a career coach, motivational speaker, and founder of Going Places, where she helps millennial and Gen Z women rethink the definition of career success. Janel can speak to today’s growing appetite for portfolio careers: multi-income, multi-passion work lives that allow people to diversify their skills and reimagine stability outside of a single full-time job. After leaving her corporate HR job in 2020, Janel built her own portfolio career through content creation, coaching, and releasing her signature course, Pivot with Purpose, which equips 30-somethings with the tools to pursue fulfilling, flexible, and financially viable second acts. She also leads conversations on alternative work models, AI for self-discovery, and the pressure many millennials feel to “live up to their potential” before 30. Janel holds a Master of Science in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior from the London School of Economics and is based in the NYC metro area.
“My vision is to redefine how ambitious millennials navigate career change and personal growth—transforming feelings of being “stuck” into clarity, confidence, and purposeful momentum. I want to use my content, courses, and speaking to spark cultural conversations about ambition, identity, and the future of work, showing that career success isn’t about following the rules but about designing a life that feels both expansive and sustainable. Through social and newsletter content, book deals, strategic partnerships, licensing my programs to mission-aligned organizations, speaking and hosting engagements, and developing original media projects, I'm building a community that feels seen in their struggles, supported in their pivots, and empowered to believe that their potential never expires.”
